What does birth support look like?

Your labour and birth will be one of the most memorable days of your life. I believe you need to feel supported and comfortable with everyone on your team. For this reason I offer a free consult where you can ask questions and get to know me and see if I’m the right fit to support you on your journey.

As your birth doula I will help you plan for your birth by providing unbiased information and options to help you make the best decisions for your family.

During your pregnancy I will be available for you by email, text or phone to help answer your questions as they arise. We will also meet for one to two prenatal appointments to get to know each other, talk about your birth wishes, plan for postpartum and work through any fears you may have.

During labour I will be with you whenever you feel you need me until a few hours after your baby is born. I will provide you and your support person emotional, physical and educational support to help through your labour.

After your baby has come earth side I will stay with you to assure you are settled, fed and are comfortable feeding your baby.

As a birth doula I will also come to you for one postpartum visit, within two weeks after birth, to debrief your birth with you and answer any baby care questions you may have.
