Postpartum Doula Support
What is postpartum doula support ?
Postpartum doula support can include a variety of different things to help you feel comforted, cared for and confident in your parenting journey. Whether this is your first or fifth baby, a postpartum doula can be an amazing resource for you.
As a postpartum doula I am here to provide support to you and your family physically, emotionally and educationally. During our time together I can assist with infant care, light household tasks, cooking or meal prep while you nap, shower or take some time for yourself. I can care for older children while you spend quality time with your baby or vice versa. I also provide breastfeeding support and am a non-judgemental ear for any concerns or questions you have during your postpartum time. I want to leave you feeling like you have been cared for and have a little less on your plate than before I arrived.
But my baby isn’t a newborn anymore
That’s wonderful you have made it through the newborn phase. This is often the time when help from family and friends is reduced. It’s also when your baby starts to be more awake and alert and may require more attention from you. I support families with babies of all ages and believe the postpartum period lasts two years. Sleep regressions, new milestones, introducing foods can all cause more stress in your life and I am here to pick you up and help you move through these hard spots. If you feel you are in need of support just send me a message, I’d love to talk with you.
